Colin Caton, former Bala Town boss, has been appointed as the new manager of Cymru North side Ruthin Town. He left Bala Town in June after 22 years and 880 games in charge.

What happened?

Caton guided Bala Town to a first ever Welsh Cup in 2017. He succeeds Dave Evans, who left his role with the club in 13th spot in the Cymru North.

Why it matters for Bala Town

Caton's experience and record speak for themselves, according to Ruthin. He is a leader who embodies the ambition and values they hold as a club. | Stat | Value | | --- | --- | | Games in charge at Bala Town | 880 | | Years at Bala Town | 22 |

What comes next?

Ruthin is confident Caton will make a big impact and inspire everyone involved. Caton, 55, will bring his experience to the new role, having previously played for Rhyl and Colwyn Bay. He will look to improve Ruthin's position in the Cymru North, after they finished 13th under Evans.
