Bala Town suffered a 4-2 defeat at home to Mold Alexandra in the FAW Championship North on Saturday. The loss at Maes Tegid highlights defensive concerns as the Lakesiders conceded four times in a single match for the second time this season.
Danny Simmonds gave Bala Town the lead in the 19th minute, but Liam Hogan equalised for the visitors just after the half-hour mark. Chris Fisher restored the home side's advantage six minutes into the second half, only for Mold Alexandra to score three times in a decisive 29-minute spell. Harry Cartwright levelled the scores again three minutes after Fisher's goal, before strikes from Sam Duffy and Lewis Gregson sealed the points for the visitors.
The result leaves Bala Town in fourth place in the FAW Championship with 18 points from nine games. Their recent form has been inconsistent, with three losses in their last five outings.
Manager Colin Caton will be looking for a response when his side travel to face seventh-placed Caersws next Saturday.
