Bala Town's survival hopes in the Cymru Premier were given a significant boost as they secured a 5-0 win over Llanelli Town, thanks to goals from Cameron Ferguson, Ross White, Jacob Tarasenko, Sam Billington, and a late fifth from Tarasenko. The win, combined with Flint Town United's 0-1 loss to Haverfordwest County, means Bala Town are now just two points behind their rivals. The Lakesiders will be safe if they win their home game against Briton Ferry Llansawel on 18 April and Flint fail to win. Bala Town's manager will be pleased with the performance, which saw them lead 2-0 at the break. The visitors enjoyed a strong first half at Stebonheath Park, with Ferguson's opener and White's header in the 25th minute giving them a comfortable lead. The job was done soon after the restart, thanks to Tarasenko's smart finish and Billington's superb strike from the edge of the box. Tarasenko added a late fifth, as attention turned to Flint's scoreline. The New Saints, meanwhile, extended their lead to 20 points with a 2-1 win over Connah's Quay Nomads. Jordan Williams and Ryan Brobbel scored quickfire strikes to put the champions on their way to victory. Caernarfon Town warmed up for the Welsh Cup final with a 2-0 win over Colwyn Bay, thanks to an own goal from Ryan Astles and a strike from Zack Clarke. Barry Town United will finish third if they beat The New Saints at Jenner Park Stadium, after a 2-0 win over Penybont, with Ieuan Owen and Ollie Hulbert scoring the goals. Briton Ferry Llansawel led 3-0 at the break against Cardiff Met, thanks to goals from Alex Gammond, Thomas Walters, and Kian Jenkins, and can still finish seventh.
