Bala Town will learn their FAW Welsh Cup Round Two opponent this Tuesday evening. The draw for the competition's second round will be broadcast live on Cymru Football TV at 8pm on 29 September.
The club has been granted a bye into this stage as one of the four highest-ranked Tier 2 sides from last season. They join Newtown, Caerau Ely, and Llanelli Town in skipping the first round. The draw itself is split into Northern and Southern sections, with Bala placed among the 30 clubs in the Northern pool.
Supporters wishing to watch the draw must create a free account on the Cymru Football TV platform. The programme will also feature the draw for the Second Qualifying Round of the Bute Energy Welsh Cup. All ties in the FAW Welsh Cup Round Two are scheduled for the weekend of 16-17 October.
This cup focus comes as the team sits fourth in the FAW Championship with 18 points from nine games. Their recent form has been mixed, with a iii-iii draw away at Caersws last time out. Ollie Simmonds scored twice in that match, including a late equaliser, to secure a point.
Attention first turns back to league action this weekend, with Buckley Town visiting Maes Tegid on Saturday 25 September. Bala will then await their cup fate when the draw is made public on Tuesday night.
