The Beast is back at the Mountain! Bala Town's Steve 'The Beast' Lewis has joined FC Mountain's management team, bringing his experience to the North Wales football club. Lewis, 38, will work alongside new head coach Paride Muci in the early stages of the 2026-27 season. The arrangement hopes to work well, with Lewis potentially staying involved long-term.

What happened? Lewis originally signed for Bala Town from Liverpool League outfit Essemay FC in January 2011. He then moved to Rhyl, where he finished joint top-scorer with 16 goals in the 2012-13 Cymru Alliance League title. Lewis has since played for several North Wales clubs, including Holywell Town, Caernarfon Town, and Llandudno.

Why it matters for Bala Town Lewis's experience will be valuable for FC Mountain, who will compete in the Tier 4 North Wales Coast East League Premier Division this season.
