Bala Town prepare for a home FAW Championship North fixture against Buckley Town this Friday evening at Maes Tegid. The match kicks off at 19:45 as the Lakesiders aim to find consistency after a mixed run of results.
The side currently sits fourth in the table with 19 points from 10 games, eight points behind leaders Brickfield Rangers. Their recent form of two wins, one draw, and two losses from the last five outings highlights the need for a strong performance.
Recent form and results
Bala Town's last outing was a dramatic 3-3 draw away to Caersws on October 3rd. Ollie Simmonds scored twice, including a late equaliser, and Jordan Owen also found the net in a game that swung back and forth. Before that, they suffered a 4-2 home defeat to Mold Alexandra, despite goals from Dafydd Simmonds and Cai Fisher. Victories away at Penrhyncoch and Porthmadog were separated by a heavy loss at Denbigh Town.
With 20 goals scored and 17 conceded this season, their attacking threat is clear but defensive solidity will be key against a Buckley side sitting ninth. The full run of recent results is available on our fixtures page.
Manager Colin Caton will be looking for a response from his players to turn draws into wins. A victory would keep pressure on the teams above them and build momentum ahead of the next phase of the season. Bala Town host Buckley Town at Maes Tegid on Friday, October 9th, with kick-off at 19:45.
